Visits to the doctor are often surprising. Discussing my longtime sugar addiction I mentioned, rather defensively, that “It is my only vice! I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs. I do sugar.”
“Have you ever seen that Woody Harrelson bowling movie?”
Huh? Where could this be going?
“Kingpin?”
“You remember the part with the priest where he swears that drinking is his ‘only vice’ but at the end he is surrounded by women, and swears that’s his ‘only vice’’?
“Yes.”
His knowing look does not escape me.
My doctor now doles out medical advice through the Farrelly brothers.
